The OMNI 3.1 transmitter is designed for operation of electrically powered locos with some servo functionality, e.g. with a Brian Jones sound card. It features four channels, two of which are fully proportional and operated by control knobs. The smaller, left-hand knob is zero-to-full and can be used for a servo function if required, and the larger, right-hand knob has a centre-off position and can be used for the ESC (electronic speed controller). The other two channels are controlled by the three buttons at the top of the transmitter. One is a full throw two-way function with a midpoint, ideal for operating two-way switcher units, and the other is a full travel actuator, which could be used for a coupling or any similar full travel on/off function. The transmitter also features cruise control.
The OMNI 3.1 features quick and easy binding. No bind plug is required! You can bind in 3 seconds to any OMNI receiver. Every transmitter has a unique ID code. Model data is stored in the receiver, so a model can be bound to any OMNI transmitter and still function correctly.
The transmitter range is up to 800m, and there is immediate link-up when turning the transmitter back on.
The OMNI 3.1 is UK-made and supported. The 2.4 GHz radio frequency is completely legal in the UK for licence-free operation, and is designed to operate reliably in today's busy radio environment, without interference from other devices.
